Rich Keitel is the Artistic Director of Pittsburgh Playback theatre and was a founding member of the company in 1987. Professor of Theatre at Point Park University, MFA in Directing from University of Pittsburgh. Associate Artistic Director for City Theatre 1997-98. Head of Undergraduate Acting and Directing Program at the University of Pittsburgh 1991-97. Rich’s directing is regularly mentioned in Pittsburgh newspapers’ year-end top ten lists. He recently directed Small Engine Repair and The Mother… With the Hat for barebones productions, which were both listed among the best plays of the year in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. A proud member of Actors Equity. In 1996, Pittsburgh Magazine recognized Rich with the “Harry” award for theatrical excellence. Rich was thrilled to be honored by Prime Stage at their 2012 Gala.
April Daras has been a member of Pittsburgh Playback Theatre since 2011, though she hasn’t felt like a real Pittsburgh resident until last year when she joined the faculty of Point Park University. Her work as an actor and director has taken her throughout the state of Florida, into the mountains of West Virginia, the studios of New York City and finally, into the theatres of western PA. April Daras holds a BFA in Acting and MFA in Directing from Florida State University.
